Hunger by Waupaca Story Project
April 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for this live storytelling event and share your personal story of “HUNGER”: desire, drive, feasts, cravings, favorite recipes, lack of food, or other topics loosely based on this theme. Creative interpretation of our theme is welcomed and encouraged!
There are so many ways in which we experience hunger and we want to hear your stories about these experiences. Or come just to listen and enjoy the art of storytelling and the depth of stories that exist right here in our community.
Reservations are encouraged and can be done through the “Get Tickets” link on this event page.
Want to be one of our featured storytellers? You don’t have to be an experienced storyteller to join us. Give it a try!
Please read the story submission guidelines below:
-All stories must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday, April 4th, 2020.
-Stories must be submitted in a fully-typed format. All stories are property of the storytellers and Waupaca Story Project will never use them in any way other than to review for content and time.
-Stories must be between 5-7 minutes long and have a distinct beginning, middle and end. This usually works out to be about 1.5-2 pages single-spaced.
-Please read/tell your story aloud and time yourself before submitting so you know it is within our timeframe.
-Stories should be loosely linked to the theme which can be creatively interpreted in many ways.
-Please base your story on your own personal experience.
-Waupaca Story Project is inclusive of people with diverse beliefs, experiences & perspectives. If your story focuses on your personal beliefs (religious, political, etc.) please don’t assume these will be shared by others who are present.
– We are asking all attendees to register.
-There may be adult content and stories may not be appropriate for kids.
– Waupaca Story Project welcomes people with a wide range of beliefs, experiences and stories to tell. Please be respectful of all story tellers and attendees.
