Bicycle Maintenance & Repair (session #A01)
Learn proper maintenance and repair of a bicycle including tire/tube changing, chain evaluation, cleaning and lubrication, and basic adjustments. Materials needed: safety glasses, bicycle (NO TRICK BIKES), basic tool kit (combination wrenches, hammer, screwdrivers, pliers/vise grip and Allen wrenches). How to Identify Birds (session #A02)
Learn how to identify resident and migratory songbirds in Wisconsin from an avid birder/naturalist with years of field experience. Similar looking species will be compared and contrasted to recognize subtle differences. Class is designed to present a variety of field marks and hone your bird watching skills. Mosaic Stepping Stone (session #A03)
Learn to create a glass mosaic stepping stone for home or garden. Supplies include the concrete stepping stone, glass, adhesive and grout. Students will be able to take home their stepping stone at the end of the class. Basic Yoga (session #B01)
Learn Yoga basics and how this simple practice can greatly benefit your day to day life, reduce stress, and increase flexibility and focus. Needle Felting for Home Décor (session #B02)
Learn the basics of needle felting which uses a handheld barbed needle tool, a foam base and felted wool. Design small coasters or a table mat using unique fibers, wool roving, yarn and embellishments. Bring scissors, tape measure, pins and pincushion, embroidery needle, embroidery floss, buttons and beads. $15 material fee payable to instructor. 9-11:55 a.m. Instructor: Jane Carney
Sand Sculpture Succulent Garden (session #B03)

Woven Harvest Basket with Wire Handle (session #B04)
Learn how to weave a simple basket using the following weaving techniques: twining, start & stop weaving and rimming. Step-by-step hands on directions and modeling will be provided. Please bring 50 pinch style wooden clothes pins, a small spray bottle, a pencil and an old hand towel. Grillin’ 101 (session #C01)
Step into spring by learning grilling tips, tricks and basics, how to use indirect heat and direct heat, times and temps to make your grill sizzle and leave your guests wondering how you did it. Josh will demonstrate different cooking techniques that can be used on gas and charcoal grills. Sample all the unique items. Intro to iPad & iPhone Basics (session #C02)
Students will learn email setup, sending and receiving, how to search and download applications; to use iCloud to link photos, notes, and apps to their online account; to use iTunes to link apps and saved information on their device to their computer and discover who Siri is and why she is needed. Family-friendly 8+ with adults. Students should bring devices and a pen. How to Maintain Your Trees and Shrubs (session #D02)
Learn how and when to properly prune trees and most shrubs using different techniques, tools and hands-on training. Class is designed for adults looking for an overall understanding of basic plant care. Discussion of equipment will be covered. Learn the basic fundamentals of home wiring and complete hands-on projects related to activities that would be performed around the house (replacing switches and outlets, troubleshooting, etc.). Complete basic electrical circuits and learn how to use various tools related to wiring. Participates may bring in a lamp and replace cord and or plug. Bring slotted and Phillips screwdriver. Learn the difference between constellations, asterisms, and circumpolar constellations, true travelers across the skies, as well as which planets are visible during the summer months and how to locate them. Fused Glass Garden Stakes (session #G02)
Learn to make a fused glass tile to mount into a black metal garden stake frame. Supplies include: glass tile, glass embellishments, glass paint, glass adhesives, garden stake, firing fees. Glass tiles will be constructed during the class but will be returned to Blessings Glassworks studio for firing in the kiln. Tiles will be mounted in the frames and be ready for pick up the following week at FVTC Waupaca. Intro to Creative Writing (Fiction) (session #G03)
Learn the basics of story structure, narrator “point of view”, and how to avoid overused tropes and common errors. Bring your ideas and supplies for writing. Nature & Garden Printing Workshop (session #H01)
Explore fun, creative and artistic ways to print and stamp using items from nature and the garden. Participants will print using such items as leaves, pine cones and more to create a number of different projects on various materials. Print on a glass vase, paper, clay and more. Fused Glass Memo Board (session #I01)
Students will assemble glass pieces to create a fused glass write on/wipe off memo board. Supplies provided; base glass, cast glass flowers, leaves, stringers, noodles, millifiori, confetti, frit, and glass paint. All memo boards will include a dry erase marker and wire hanger for display. Projects will be taken to Blessings Glassworks Studio for firing and will be available for pick up the following week. Learn about the best FREE Android apps out there, checking out timesaving apps, games, and special interest/hobby apps. The class covers downloading, deleting/uninstalling apps. Students must have a Google Play Store account to participate fully with the class. Bring your device, charger and a pen. This class is open to all individuals with an Android smartphone.
