Waupaca offers a variety of cultural events, art galleries and studios.  Whether you come for a day or stay for a month, you will find plenty of things to do.  And, with our beautiful, natural surroundings, artists are always inspired.

The Waupaca Community Arts Board promotes the arts economy in the community by hosting events and supporting artists.

The Waupaca Fine Arts Festival promotes the performing arts in the area and hosts a Community Concert in spring; Community Musical Theater production and Children’s Theater production in summer and the Waupaca Art Show in spring.

Waupaca Art Show

Arts and Culture

The Waupaca Art Show is held every spring and features the work of both professional and amateur artists in the area.  Student art is displayed as well.


Arts on the Square

Waupaca Arts on the Square
This unique festival of the arts draws an estimated 5,000 attendees.  In addition to the 40 juried artists, a variety of diverse events and entertainment takes place throughout the festival.  Sponsored by the Waupaca Community Arts Board

Strawberry Fest

Strawberry Fest
This annual festival celebrates the first taste of summer in the Waupaca Area. Featuring 150 arts & craft vendors in Downtown Waupaca. Held the third Saturday in June.


Band Concerts

Waupaca City Band Concerts
A tradition for over 100 years.   The Waupaca City Band performs from the historic bandstand.  Friday night concerts are held weekly from mid-June through the end of July at 7 p.m.


Art Tour

Hidden Studios Art Tour
Held in fall when the colors are peaking, this tour features artists along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail showing work in their studios.

Garden Walk and Art Tour

Arts and Culture

Garden Walk & Art Tour is held the last Saturday of June.  You may tour area gardens.  Local artists display their work in the gardens and some may be demonstrating during the tour.  Proceeds benefit a different local charity every year.  See our website for more information.
