SHIVER IN THE SHANTY RULES:
1. You must register for participation by Sat., Jan. 23 at 9am by purchasing a $20 ticket from either tent site (Waupaca on Hwy Q and Fremont on Wolf River Dr.) and completing the registration form for your fish to be considered eligible.
2. You will be able to fish all bodies of water in Waupaca County.
3. You must have your fish measured at one of two tent locations by an event official who will log the data. Fish may be registered on Thursday, Jan. 21 4pm-6pm, Fri., Jan. 22 3pm-7pm, Sat., Jan. 23 8am-5pm or Sun., Jan. 24 8-9:30am. Tent locations are: Hwy Q in Waupaca, in the Wheel House parking lot and Wolf River Dr. in Fremont near Liquid Assets.
4. This is a catch and kill event due to the potential transferring of fish from one water body to another. For those wishing to catch and release, a picture will need to be taken and a catch and release form will need to be completed. Time & length will be documented along with a witness signature. The fish will need to be replaced into the same body of water it was taken from.
5. Fishing Tournament Director will have control of all rules and is responsible for ensuring all rules are followed. All violations need to be reported to the Director by 10am on Sunday.
6. The following classes will be considered eligible: Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Perch, Crappie and Bluegill. There will be a misc class which will include any fish not in the above category.
7. Prizes will be given out in each category. Prizes for each category will not exceed $500.
